Social media platforms last night were agog following the appearance of Nigerian musicians, Naira Marley and Zinoleesky, along with socialite Sammy Larry.

The public outing marked their first since being entangled in a controversy linked to the tragic passing of fellow singer, Mohbad, also known as Ilerioluwa Aloba.

The duo’s alleged involvement in the circumstances leading to Mohbad’s death had resulted in their arrests, detention and subsequent remand in prison for about 20 days.

They were, however, recently granted bail by a Lagos court, signaling a turning point in their legal ordeal.

The unfolding events took a new twist as Naira Marley and Zinoleesky opted to share a video capturing moments from their public appearance.

The move, while showcasing their resilience, also sparked discussions on various social media platforms.

The video released prompted mixed reactions with some expressing relief at the artists’ return to public life while others are raising concerns about the appropriateness of their freedom given the ongoing legal proceedings.

Despite the visible exuberance in the video, the litigation against Marley and Larry is far from being closed.

Reports suggest that the case linked to Mohbad’s death is still ongoing, leaving many questioning whether the artists should be allowed unrestricted movement.

As the controversy continues to unfold, the public remains divided over the appropriate responses to Marley and Larry’s return to the spotlight.
