Worried by the ongoing bloodlettings in the Southeast particularly in Anambra, the State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo,  has visited the detained Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Nnamdi Kanu in Abuja.

Soludo said the IPOB leader was saddened by the killings in the zone which had been attributed to his followers.

Persecondnews recalls that Kanu had repeatedly denied the involvement of IPOB members in the wipeouts.

On his condition, Soludo said:”Kanu was happy to receive me and he was in high spirits.”

Soludo, who shared details of the meeting with Kanu, including photos on his verified social media handles on Saturday night, also wrote: “He described the killings as sacrilegious.”

Kanu, who was forcefully extradited from Kenya to Nigeria in July 2021, is still being held at the Department of State Security Services (DSS) facility in Abuja.
