CSP Iniedu Replaces DCP Placid As Force’s New PPRO

Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu has appointed CSP Anietie Okokon Edem Iniedu as the new Force Public Relations Officer.

The announcement was made on Friday via the official X account of the outgoing Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Anthony Okon Placid.

According to the statement, Iniedu’s appointment aims to strengthen the public relations department and enhance the Nigeria Police Force’s strategic communication and public engagement.

Iniedu brings a wealth of experience to the role, with a strong background in public communication, operational policing, intelligence management, administration, and institutional accountability.

Before his appointment, he had served as Head of the Complaint Response Unit at Force Headquarters, Abuja, where he coordinated public complaints and promoted transparency and accountability.

He has also held several operational and administrative positions, including Operations Officer in Yobe State, Area Crime Officer in Abia State, and Officer-in-Charge of the Force Headquarters Situation Room.

The IGP expressed confidence in his ability to lead the department, noting that his experience and professional background would support ongoing policing reforms and operational successes.
