In the lead-up to the 2026 National Women’s Empowerment Rally, the Federal Government has ramped up its support for women through a nationwide campaign.

Rebranded as the #PowerOf10Million movement, the initiative centers on a singular mission: “One Voice, One Movement, One Choice.”

The event is aimed at strengthening unity, participation and empowerment among women across Nigeria.

As part of the build up to the programme, the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, led a unity march in Abuja on Saturday, May 2, drawing hundreds of women in a strong display of solidarity and collective purpose.

Persecondnews reports that the march brought together participants from different groups who moved through key parts of the city in coordinated fashion, reflecting what organisers described as a shared commitment to the vision of the empowerment campaign.

Women showed up, women stood together, women moved as one.

The initiative, according to organisers, is designed to amplify women’s voices, encourage inclusion, and build a unified platform for engagement ahead of the 2026 national rally.

The main event is scheduled to hold on May 5 at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja, where a larger gathering of women from across the country is expected under the #PowerOf10Million movement.

The Abuja march, according to Persecondnews, served as a high-energy rehearsal for a much larger mobilization.

It signaled a clear shift toward collective action, as women across the board align with the “one voice, one movement” mission.
This campaign isn’t just a rally; it’s being framed as a national movement to demand greater visibility and ensure women are at the heart of the country’s development.
