INEC Affirms Mark as Legitimate ADC Leader

94

In a significant update to its official register, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has formally recognized former Senate President David Mark as the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
This administrative shift follows a decisive ruling by the Supreme Court on Thursday.
According to the updated records on INEC’s website as of late Thursday night, the party’s executive committee now includes:
*National Chairman David Mark
*National Secretary Rauf Aregbesola
*National Treasurer Dr. Mani Ahmad
*National Financial Secretary Akibu Dalhatu
*National Legal Adviser Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor
The leadership change was triggered by the apex court’s decision to vacate a previous status quo ante bellum order, which had effectively frozen the party’s leadership structure.
By lifting this restriction, the Supreme Court has cleared the way for the new executive to take charge while directing any remaining proceedings back to the Federal High Court.
