Armed attackers broke into a Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) branch in Uso, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, and whisked away six members of the congregation.

The raid unfolded in the early hours of Wednesday while the faithful were gathered for a dawn service.

Persecondnews reports that this latest kidnapping took place exactly four days after unknown gunmen snatched a married couple from the Ilu-Abo settlement in Akure North Local Government Area of the state.

The church assault itself occurred two days following the brutal slaying of a revered traditional leader, the Alagamo of Agamo, identified as Kehinde Falodun, by suspected bandits.

Agamo lies within the same Akure North Local Government Area that also encompasses Eleyewo.

The development represents the second bandit incursion into the Eleyewo community within the past one month; the area is traditionally ruled by Olu Falae, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
