Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson Okojie has opened up on what her recent appointment by Monday Okpebholo means to her, describing it as a call to purposeful service and deeper engagement with the people of Edo State.
The screen star, who was named Special Adviser on Public Engagement and Advocacy to the Edo State governor, shared her thoughts in a statement posted on her Instagram page, where she expressed profound gratitude for the opportunity to serve.
Johnson said she considers the appointment a mark of trust and confidence from the Governor, adding that she does not take the responsibility lightly.
According to her, the new role goes beyond official designation and represents a platform to build stronger connections between the government and the people.
“I am deeply honoured and sincerely grateful to His Excellency, Monday Okpebholo, the Executive Governor of Edo State, for the trust and confidence reposed in me with my appointment as Special Adviser on Public Engagement and Advocacy.
“This appointment is not just a call to serve, it is a call to connect, to listen, and to advocate with purpose.
