Exclusive: How Burna Boy Spent Billions on Cars in Five Years

1.4k

Grammy Award-winning Nigerian superstar Burna Boy is serious about his craft, continually churning out global hits while expanding his business empire.

But beyond his music and ventures, his love for choice, exotic cars remains an undeniable part of his persona.

For the Afro-fusion superstar, cars are more than just vehicles. They are statements of personality, style, and status.

Each one is carefully selected to reflect his taste, success, and larger-than-life persona.

Burna Boy’s fascination with luxury automobiles is well known. Over the years, he has built a car collection that rivals the most elite celebrity garages in Africa and beyond.

From hypercars to custom-built luxury SUVs, each vehicle in his fleet is a deliberate addition, carefully curated to match the superstar’s vision of perfection.

This is not a casual hobby for Burna Boy, owning and customizing cars is an art form, and every detail matters.

While his music career has cemented him as one of Africa’s most influential artists, his vehicles tell a parallel story of wealth, exclusivity, and ambition.

Each car in his collection is not merely purchased but transformed into a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

Rare finds from Europe, America, and other parts of the world are brought together to create a garage that reflects his global stature.

Every acquisition is an investment in style, luxury, and automotive excellence.

Burna Boy’s cars are not just about aesthetics or speed; they are about experience and the joy of owning something rare and unique.

The superstar spares no expense to ensure his vehicles meet the highest standards.

From custom interiors to performance upgrades, every car is tailored to Burna Boy’s specifications, showcasing a level of dedication and precision that few can match.

In an exclusive interview with a top car detailer who has worked on several of Burna Boy’s vehicles and insisted that his name not be revealed, Per Second News learnt just how serious the Grammy winner is about his automotive investments.

According to the detailer, Burna Boy does not hesitate to spend billions of naira to make his cars look and perform exactly as he envisions.

On one occasion, he even flew the expert to Spain and France on a private jet to source specific elements that would make one of his vehicles truly shine.

“Burna is very particular about what he wants. If he wants a car to stand out, he will leave no stone unturned. He doesn’t mind spending billions to get it right,” the detailer said.

Burna Boy’s car collection, currently valued at nearly ₦19 billion or $13 million, is a showcase of rare supercars, custom rides, and exclusive luxury models.

Each vehicle in the African Giant’s garage makes a statement about style, wealth, and the superstar’s uncompromising taste.

From McLarens to Ferraris, every addition represents both a personal passion and a symbol of his immense success.

The crown jewel of his collection is the McLaren Senna Carbon Fibre Edition, reportedly one of only 15 units ever produced worldwide.

Burna Boy’s Senna, which cost around $2 million before import fees, ultimately came to approximately ₦3.2 billion in Nigeria.

This ultra-exclusive hypercar is a road-legal track machine and perfectly exemplifies the level of rarity and prestige Burna Boy seeks in his collection.

Another standout is the Ferrari Purosangue, Ferrari’s first-ever SUV, which Burna Boy acquired in December 2024.

This luxury four-seater is both a performance machine and a symbol of modern opulence.

The overseas price is around $500,000, but with Nigerian import duties, Burna Boy’s final investment reached approximately ₦2.1 billion.

His passion for the brand is evident, as he owns no fewer than five different Ferrari models in total.

Beyond the McLaren and Ferrari, Burna Boy’s garage also features an array of exotic and high-performance vehicles, each one carefully chosen for its exclusivity, design, and driving experience.

He revealed that every car in his fleet serves as a testament to his commitment to luxury, precision, and the finer things in life.

His collection is arguably the most impressive among African celebrities, not only for its value but also for the thought and attention to detail behind every acquisition.

As of November 2025, Burna Boy holds the record for the most expensive garage owned by a Nigerian musician.

His cars are not just symbols of wealth, they are tangible proof of his global influence and dedication to perfection.
