Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen showcased his exceptional skills, scoring all three goals in Galatasaray’s 3-0 win over Ajax in the UEFA Champions League.

The 26-year-old striker opened the scoring in the 59th minute with a well-timed header from Leroy Sane’s cross, before converting two penalties to complete his first-ever UCL hat-trick.

Osimhen’s impressive performance propelled him to the top of the UCL goalscorer chart with six goals, surpassing Erling Haaland, Harry Kane, and Kylian Mbappe, who all have five goals each.

This feat is a testament to Osimhen’s remarkable form, having scored in his last two UCL matches, including a goal against Liverpool and a brace against Bodo/Glimt.

With 25 goals, Osimhen has become Nigeria’s highest-scoring player in UEFA club competitions, eclipsing Obafemi Martins’ 23-goal record.

This achievement solidifies his position as one of Africa’s most prolific strikers.

Other notable matches include Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Qarabag, Barcelona’s 3-3 draw with Club Brugge, and Manchester City’s 4-1 thrashing of Borussia Dortmund.

Newcastle United defeated Athletic Club de Bilbao 2-0, while Inter Milan secured a 2-1 win over Kairat FC.
