President Bola Tinubu will host the victorious Super Falcons at the Presidential Villa on Monday afternoon, July 28, following their record-extending 10th Women AFCON title triumph.

Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced this on Sunday in Abuja.

Persecondnews reports that the team is scheduled to arrive in Nigeria on Monday and will be treated to a trophy parade, where they will ride in an open-roof bus through populated districts in Abuja, showcasing the coveted Women AFCON trophy.

“We are making arrangements to have a trophy parade with the players and their coaches in an open-roof bus, and plying through Airport Road, Berger junction, Maitama and Wuse Market areas all the way to the Presidential Villa,” Sanusi said.

This will give residents of Abuja and its environs the rare opportunity to catch a glimpse of the trophy and the champions.

The Super Falcons’ impressive comeback victory over hosts Morocco on Saturday night, where they came from behind to win 3-2, has sent waves of excitement throughout the country.

The team’s historic win is a testament to their dedication and perseverance, and they will be celebrated as heroes upon their return.

The trophy parade is expected to be a grand affair, with the Super Falcons and their coaches riding on an open-roof bus, waving to fans and showcasing the Women AFCON trophy.

The event will be a fitting tribute to the team’s remarkable achievement, and a celebration of Nigerian football’s success on the continent.

Persecondnews reported that President Tinubu had congratulated the team on their historic win in a video call, promising to host the champions in Abuja.
