The Super Falcons of Nigeria have secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Botswana in their 2025 Women’s African Cup of Nations match.

Chinwendu Ihezuo scored the decisive goal in the 88th minute, netting her second consecutive goal off the bench.

Botswana’s team delivered a spirited performance, showcasing solid defence and creating scoring chances.

However, the Nigerian defence held strong, ultimately thwarting Botswana’s efforts and securing a well-deserved win for the Super Falcons.

With this win, Nigeria advances to the quarterfinals of the tournament, finishing the group stage with six points.

Super Falcons’ final group game will be against Algeria.
