Popular Nigerian media personality, Frank Edoho, has disclosed that his second marriage has again hit the rocks, highlighting that the two women he was married to were not his soul mates.

Speaking on the Tea With Tay podcast, the former Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host revealed that despite his best efforts, both marriages ended in heartbreak.

“Maybe I’m not good at marriage, I must confess. The two women I had been married to are not my soul mates,” he said.

Edoho went on to distinguish between what it means to find the “love of your life” and a true “soul mate.”

According to him, love of your life is the person who comes to your mind when you think of love. But your soul mate is someone who understands you even before you express yourself, and you naturally align with.

He added that despite giving everything to his two ex-wives, the relationships still didn’t work.

He emphasised his willingness to sacrifice and fully commit, but noted that the women eventually fell out of love with him. Still, he harbours no bitterness.

“I went above and beyond for the two marriages. I carried my partner… I can abandon everything for her,” he shared.

“But you don’t blame them for falling out of love with you.”

Edoho referenced Brazilian football legend Kaka’s high-profile divorce to explain how even seemingly perfect partners are not immune to the unpredictability of relationships.

“Take the footballer Kaka, for example… His wife divorced him. Do you know what she said? ‘He is too good.’”

The media figure also used the platform to share a perspective on male-female dynamics in relationships.

According to him, one way a woman can deeply influence a man is through submission.

He claimed that his now ex-wife “over pampered” him and submitted to him, which, in his view, gave her emotional power in the relationship.

Reflecting on his personal failures, Edoho spoke with a calm acceptance of his experiences.

He wasn’t defensive; instead, he appeared introspective, resigned to the reality that despite effort and commitment, chemistry and soul alignment can’t be forced.
