Persecondnews had reported that on March 14, 17 military personnel, comprising a lieutenant colonel, two majors, one captain, and 13 soldiers, were murdered while on a peacekeeping mission at Okuama community, a community in Delta State’s Ughelli South Local Government Area.

The soldiers and officers were reported to have been deployed from the 181 Amphibious Battalion in the Delta’s Bomadi Local Government Area.

The slain soldiers were buried yesterday, March 27, at the National Military Cemetery, Abuja.
