It was an emotional moment for Davido and millions of his fans today watching their favourite music star return to performing music again.

The reason for the outpouring of emotions and love for Davido may not be far to seek– he lost his son Ifeanyi- some weeks back after he drowned in a swimming pool in his house.

The singer was picked among other super stars to thrill spectators numbering thousands shortly before the commencement of the final match of the World Cup between France and Argentina.

The singer and his wife, Chioma had shared loved up pictures earlier in the day in what looked like subtle response to those who had suggested all may not be well with their union after the demise of their son.

Davido and other music acts took the centre stage to perform the world cup song recorded before the commencement of the tournament and it looked as though Davido was the cynosure of all eyes.

Fans waited with patiently to see Davido come on stage to take his verse of the song, and he did lived up to expectations.

The stadium erupted in joy as he took his verse and once again illustrated the essential difference between him and other Nigerian music artistes.

In a short message before climbing the stage, Davido said:” Tell the world I am back”.
