The private school, Noble Kids School, Kano, where a five-year-old pupil, Hanifa Abubakar was killed and buried, has been set ablaze by a mob.

Persecondnews.com had reported that the proprietor of the school was arrested by the police for abducting, killing and burying Hanifa Abubakar, in a shallow grave in the school premises, located at Kwanar Dakata in Nassarawa local government area of Kano.

Hanifa was kidnapped on December 2, 2021, by the school’s proprietor, Abdulmalik Tanko, who recently confessed to committing the heinous crime and led police officers to the school premises where the remains of Hanifa were found in a shallow grave.

According to reports, Tanko only rented the building to run his school as the structure belongs to another person.

Kano State police spokesman, DSP Abdullahi Kiyawa, on Monday disclosed that angry youths set fire to the school in the middle of the night.

He, however, said there was no casualty from the incident, adding that the police are yet to arrest any suspect in connection with the incident.

Kiyawa urged the people to desist from taking law into their hands.
