Ahead of the November 6 Anambra governorship polls, the State Deputy Governor, Mr Nkem Okeke, has ditched the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
As usual, President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday received Okeke at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, upon presentation by the APC Caretaker Chairman and Yobe Governor Mai Mala Buni.
Among the attendees was Imo Governor Hope Uzodinma, who was believed to have facilitated Okeke’s defection.
Persecondnews recalls that a few weeks ago, a former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, who is being prosecuted for corruption by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), jumped ship from the PDP to board the APC train.
