Breaking: PENGASSAN, Addax Petroleum Branch, suspends ongoing strike

Orders normalcy be restored across all locations including OML 123, 124, 126 and 137 immediately

The Petroleum & Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), Addax Petroleum Branch, has suspended its ongoing industrial action with immediate effect.

The association, an affiliate of Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC), said it took the decision following a series of intervention from numerous stakeholders.

lt directed that normalcy should be restored across all locations including OML 123, 124, 126 and 137 immediately.

ln a statement released on Friday evening to Persecondnews, the union said:“After series of intervention from numerous stakeholders, Addax management has agreed for a meeting with the branch leadership on Tuesday 2nd of August, 2022.

“With this development, the Zone is hereby directing that normalcy be restored across all locations including OML 123, 124, 126 and 137 effective immediately.’’

Signed by Lagos zone Senior Assistant General Secretary, Comrade Babatunde Oke, the statement promised that the association would continue to engage all stakeholders for the timely resolution of the outstanding issues.

“The National leadership of our Association will continually engage all stakeholders for the timely close out of the outstanding items.’’
