PerSecondNews -- A 21-year-old Cameroonian domestic servant, Ledjou Kouemou, who allegedly stabbed his employer, Temidayo Adeleke, to death in her residence, has been remanded in a Lagos prison.

He allegedly killed the woman, who had just returned from U.S.  for failing to pay him December salary in advance.

The domestic servant is to remanded at Ikoyi Prisons pending legal advice from the State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

The case has been Feb. 24, 2017 for mention.

The prosecution told the court that the accused committed the offence on Dec. 20 at about 9.30 p.m. at Parkview Estate, Ikoyi.

``The accused stabbed her with a kitchen knife on her chest resulting in her death.’

However, Adeleke appealed to him to wait till the next day, explaining that she had no naira notes with her but Ludguo insisted on remaining in the sitting room with his boss until she provided the money.

He then went to the kitchen, took out a kitchen knife with which he allegedly stabbed Adeleke on the chest. Her shout for help alerted other domestic workers.

It was gathered that Ludguo attempted to flee, but was apprehended by one of the domestic staff, who contacted policemen from the Ikoyi Division.

According to a domestic staff “We would have all been in trouble if he had escaped.

“He informed us on Monday that he was going to demand for N15,000, as part of his December salary from madam, as he wanted to travel to his home town. We are paid N27,000 per month.

“Nobody knew what transpired inside. The only thing we heard was madam’s shout for help, which prompted the guard and her driver to rush in.”
