APC removes Ndume as Senate leader

Members of the All Progressives Congress of the Senate Tuesday removed Ali Ndume as their leader. 

 

According to announcement by Senate President Bukola Saraki who read a letter sent to him by the caucus. 

The caucus elected to replace Mr. Ndume with Ahmed Lawan, their letter read by Mr. Saraki said. 

Meanwhile, Ndume has condemned the action saying it is shocking.

He said he was oblivious of what led to the decision or where the meeting was held to remove him. 

Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, who represents Borno South Senatorial District of Borno State has been a controversial figure at the senate
